www.in.com - Nice portal

These days, you will find this ad in some many website, saying, world smalled email id etc etc. And this is true. Email id is quite nice. Web18 network is converging their websites under one portal i.e. www.in.com.

Though there is nothing specific about the email features as such, but yes after some years, I felt like creating email id on some other website, other then yahoo and google. I was looking for a option to create blog also, but did not find it there. Hope Web18 network takes this initiative and come up with some bloggin feature also.

Google Chrome

Nice interface.

One thing I don't like about this browser, that it uses system's proxy setting. So if I want different proxy settings as I can have in Mozilla, that does not work in Chrome.

Google Code JAM 2006

Google is offering $165,000 in cash and prizes!

Registration is now open for the competition and will remain open through 9:00 AM EDT (GMT/UTC -4) on Tuesday, September 5, 2006.

All registrants will participate in the Qualification Round. The Qualification Round will be open from Tuesday, September 5, at 12:00 PM (noon) EDT (GMT/UTC -4) through Wednesday, September 6, at 12:00 PM (noon) EDT (GMT/UTC -4). During this 24-hour period, each competitor must complete one randomly generated problem set. All competitors will receive a score for their performance on that one problem set.

The top 1,000 participants from the Qualification Round will advance to the first online round, to be held at 10:00 AM EDT (GMT/UTC -4) on Thursday, September 14. The top 500 scorers from Round 1 will advance to Round 2, which will be held at 10:00 AM EDT (GMT/UTC -4) on Tuesday, September 19. The top 250 scorers from Round 2 will receive a commemorative "Google Code Jam 2006" T-shirt.

The top 100 scorers in Round 2 will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Google's office in New York City, New York, United States. Here, they will compete in person in the Championship Round for their share of the $165,000 prize purse on Friday, October 27. The first-place finisher will receive $10,000.
